Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Cutstride Studio (“Cutstride,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information through this marketing website, the beta-interest form, release communications, downloads made available through this website, and support requests.

The public desktop application is still in development. Before any release introduces accounts, cloud processing, or connected social publishing, we will update this policy and provide any additional notice or choices required for those features.

Information you provide

• Beta interest: your email address, selected computer platform, and consent to receive beta and release updates.
• Support: your name, email address, support category, operating system, optional app version, and the message you choose to send.
• Communications: information contained in replies or follow-up conversations.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting provider may process standard request and security information such as an IP address, browser and device type, requested page, referral information, and timestamps to deliver and protect the website. Cutstride does not currently install marketing analytics, advertising pixels, or cross-site tracking tools on this website.

Downloads

No public installer is currently offered. If downloads are added, the hosting or download provider may record ordinary delivery logs and file-request information. We do not currently connect download activity to a beta-list profile.

We use information to:

• manage beta interest and send updates you requested;
• respond to questions, troubleshoot issues, and process privacy requests;
• operate, secure, debug, and improve the website and support process;
• measure beta-platform interest in aggregate; and
• comply with law and protect Cutstride, users, and others.

The current Cutstride desktop workflow is designed to store projects and perform core video analysis, transcription, captioning, and rendering on the user’s computer. The website forms do not ask you to upload source videos, projects, transcripts, or exports. Please do not send sensitive footage through the support form.

Connected features such as YouTube importing require network access. Planned cloud or social-publishing features are not treated as currently available and will require updated disclosures before public use.

We may disclose information to service providers that help host the website, receive forms, deliver email, prevent abuse, and provide technical support. Netlify currently hosts the site and processes website forms on our behalf. Those providers may process information under their own terms and privacy notices.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our terms, investigate abuse, protect rights or safety, or support a business reorganization. We do not currently sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Beta-list information is retained while the beta program or requested release communications remain active, unless you unsubscribe or request deletion. Support records are generally retained for up to 24 months after resolution so we can understand recurring issues, unless a longer period is reasonably required for security, legal, or operational reasons. Hosting and security logs follow the provider’s applicable retention practices.

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the information we handle. No website, transmission, or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.

You may unsubscribe from non-transactional email using the unsubscribe method included in the message or by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing.

Submit a request through the support page and choose Privacy or data request, or email support@cutstride.studio. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.

Cutstride is operated from the United States. If you visit from another country, information may be processed in the United States and other locations used by our service providers, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

Where required, we rely on consent to send optional beta or release marketing and on legitimate interests to operate, secure, and improve the website and respond to requests.

The website and beta program are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided information, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.

We may update this policy as the website and product develop. We will post the new effective date here and provide additional notice when a change is material and applicable law requires it.
